Waxing FAQs & Client Care Information
Everything you need to know before, during, and after your waxing appointment.
Do I have Enough Hair?
Ideally, hair should be at least a quarter of an inch long, which is about the length of a grain of rice —typically around 3 to 4 weeks of growth since your last shave or wax. This allows the wax to grip the hair effectively and ensures a smoother, longer-lasting result.
I take prescription medicine, should I proceed with waxing?
Waxing is not recommended for clients using Accutane (within the last 6–12 months) or topical retinoids (within 7–14 days). Please discontinue use prior to waxing and disclose all medications to your wax specialist. These treatments can make your skin more sensitive and prone to irritation. To ensure a comfortable experience, always inform your esthetician about any skincare products or medications you’re using.
Can I wax while on my Cycle?
Waxing during your menstrual cycle is generally safe and permitted at our wax studio, provided that you use a clean tampon. Many clients choose to maintain their grooming routines during this time.
